Statistics of Project Switch Off

Finally, the fruit our Project Switch Off. Although the graphs are simple, they reflect the amount of hard work put into this project by all members.

The trend shows a yearly decline in usage of electricity in the School of Science and Technology. From 2007 to 2008, the difference was RM 42 633 and for 2008 to 2009 the decrease was RM 46 960.

From here, we can see that the monthly trend for electricity usage in the School of Science and Technology is also declining. Note that Project Switch Off was implemented in the month of September. The amount saved was much more than the previous month (July to August). In August, the amount saved from the month of July was RM 26 071. In September, a total of RM 54 080 was saved.

Considering the yearly declining trend of about RM 46,000, our project helped to save approximately RM 7,000.

So, KUDOS to Project Switch Off for achieving this amount despite our lack of experience! Did the results wipe out your fears?

Shall we make this a continuous long run project?

P.S. A big thanks to Jabatan Pembangunan dan Penyelenggaraan for working hand in hand with us to accomplish this project.
